Obituary for Joseph F Kish

Joseph F. Kish, Schererville, Indiana, age 94, passed away on August 1, 2017, with his wife of 29 years at his side. Joseph was born in 1922 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Joseph and Pauline Kish. Preceding him in death is his first wife, Irene; siblings Eleanore, Bertha and Matilda; and great granddaughter, Grace Patricia Coughlin. Joseph left behind his loving wife, Marcella; daughters Patricia (Larry) Baker and Susan (Jerry) Miller. Grandchildren: Laura (Sean) Coughlin, Greg (fiancé Wendy) Baker, Aaron (Kim) East and Angela (Jason) Crace. Great Grandchildren: Caroline, Rory, Marianne, Delaney, McKenna, Taylor and Madison. Step children Susan (fiancé Mick) Bauske, Robert Bauske and Sandra (Brandt) Hart. Step grandchildren: Nicole, Kyle and Jazz. Step great grandchildren: Vanessa and Miguel. Joseph honorably served as a Master Sargent in the Air Force during World War II. He was stationed in Ft. Sheridan flying 35 missions over Japan as a Flight Engineer in a B-29. He was a butcher and maintenance man and retired from the Holiday Inn. He loved music, traveling and was renown as a daily walker in the Schererville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Fagen-Miller Funeral Home 8580 Wicker Ave., St. John. Interment St. Nicholas Cemetery, Hammond. Visitation will be on Friday from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
