James Kujawa

James J. Kujawa, 79 of Crown Point, passed away Sunday August 27, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Diane B. Kujawa, married 49 years. Children include: Gregory (Kathy) Kujawa of San Jose, Ca, Leanne (Dan) Peppin-Price of Schererville, IN, and Gary (Lynda) Kujawa of St. John, IN. Grandchildren include Caitlyn (Greg) Tri, Jamie (Emily) Kujawa, Emily, Benjamin, and Abigail Peppin, and Kyle and Rachel Kujawa: sister late Fran (John) Tobin, brothers-in-law David (Bev) Kozlowski and Dan (Marcia) Kozlowski, son-in-law late Dan Peppin, and many nieces and nephews. A special note of gratitude to his wonderful caregivers Ann Marie Franklin, Barbara Johnson, and Emily Peppin for their care, compassion, and time devoted to his well-being. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2017 starting at 10 am at Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 8580 Wicker Ave., St. John, IN with Funeral Mass at 10:30 am at St. Michael Church, Schererville, IN with Rev. Greg Bim-Merle officiating. Cremation to follow. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3:00-8:00 pm. Mr. Kujawa was retired from Inland Steel Container after 25 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Army Reserve. He also worked for the Lake County, LEPC for several years. He loved cars, was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed playing cards and snow-mobiling. He will be truly missed by his family and friends. Memorials to Down Syndrome Association of NWI would be appreciated.
