Ray Ignas Obituary

Raymond Ignas, 81, of Schererville, IN passed away Thursday Aug. 25, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Rose; sons: Michael (Holly) Ignas, Steven (Kathy) Ignas, and James (Jackie) Ignas; grandchildren: Emily (Doug) Kinnes, Rachel, Jesse, and Zachary Ignas; sisters: Lillian Dahlstrom, and Irene (Joe) Urbanczyk; and brothers: Leonard (Thresa) Ignas, and Larry (Rosa) Ignas. Visitations will be held Sunday Aug. 28, 2016 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 8580 Wicker Ave., St. John, IN with Funeral Services on Monday Aug. 29, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Phil Humber officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Schererville, IN. Mr. Ignas was a member of Lake Hills Baptist Church and was retired from Inland Steel. He loved to cook and enjoyed bowling with the Griffith Senior League and was an avid sports fan.
