Sandro Giannetta

Sandro Giannetta of Schereville, Indiana passed away peacefully and surrounded by his loved one's on Tuesday, August 22, 2017. Sandro was born in Amaseno, Italy on April 21, 1964. He was a 1982 graduate of Bloom High School and went on to graduate DeVry University. He began a career with AT&T in which he was a member of the Union IBEW Local 21. Prior to AT&T he was a tile installer; in which he met his wife; Nancy during one of his jobs laying tile at her parent's home. Their love affair began and they celebrated 23-years in marriage and had two children; Alessandra; 19 and Antonio; 16. He is also survived by his parents, Ottorino and Luigina Giannetta; brother Mario (Jan) Giannetta; parents-in-law, Frank and Wanda Buffone; brother-in-law, Luigi (Ann) Buffone and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He has left behind a circle of friendships so compelling and strong; in which his integrity played a part. If anyone needed a favor he was always available to help. His home remodeling skills gave him a core of knowledge; and a 50- week of overtime did not stop him from spending the time to help others. He was a great friend, father, husband, son and relative to many. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will never erase with time. He battled ALS his way...he could not take the disease away; but he handled it with the utmost grace and dignity. His wife; Nancy never left his side. Her testament to love will never be repeated, sharing in the grace, dignity and courage. Love stories are often exaggerated and many never have one quite like any other. This love story was no different, a place in the heart is all anyone wants when they pass; he has the place in so many. Rest in Peace...until Tomorrow.
