Karolina (Flynn) Diaz

Karolina “Karry” Diaz of Dyer, Indiana passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 31, 2019. She is survived by her beloved husband Ellis and her cherished daughter Isabella, as well as her loving sister Ginger (Bob) Lane and her caring brother Daniel “Broth” (Kathie) Flynn. A beloved aunt of five nieces and nephews: Amy (John) Mertic, Erin (Mike) Curran, Rocky (Jenna) Lane, Daniel (Sarah) Flynn, and Kyleen (Jason) Flynn-Week. A loving great-aunt of thirteen great-nieces and nephews: Jacob, Brian, Kevin, and Megan Mertic, Michael, Daniel, and Sean Curran, Nicholas, Zachary, and Matthew Lane, Lily and Cole Flynn, Finnegan Flynn-Week. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Sara, her brother-in-law David, and her sister-in-law Sarita. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Rose and Rock Flynn, as well as her father-in-law Elias Diaz and her brother-in-law Edwin Diaz. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 11 at Fagen Miller Funeral Home (8580 Wicker Ave., Saint John, Indiana) from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at Holy Name Catholic Church in Cedar Lake, Indiana on Tuesday, November 12 at 10 a.m.

Karry was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, neighbor, and friend. She cared for everyone with immense love, and had a heart of gold. Karry had a laugh that filled the room, instantly making everyone smile. She didn’t require much, because family was all she needed. She cherished the simple things in life. Her love and compassion for her family and friends will remain timeless. Karry was an angel here on earth and now in Heaven. Karry’s kind nature and patience will forever be remembered. She will be greatly missed.
