Kathryn Trapp

Kathryn "Kay" Trapp, age 91, of Dyer, was born in Hammond on September 9, 1924 and passed away Friday, March 04, 2016. She is survived by her husband of 67 years Harold "Dusty" Trapp, daughter-in-law Linda Nelson, granddaughter Rachel (Shawn) Singleton, great granddaughter Evelyn Turner and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Clem and Elizabeth Frohnapple, brother Clem "Sandy" (Geraldine) Frohnapple and son Bill H Trapp. At her request Mrs. Trapp will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at Dyer United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 5 pm. Preceding the service, there will be visitation with family and friends at the church from 2 p.m.-5 p.m. Kay was a member of the Dyer United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star #387, and the Indiana Association of School Business Officials. She retired from Lake Central School Corporation after 30 years of service. Memorials in her name may be given to the Dyer United Methodist Church, Hospice of the Calumet Area, or the Indiana Masonic Home.
