Obituary for Andrew Joseph Long

Andrew Long age 48, of Dyer, passed away on Saturday November 3, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Laurie Long; children Brandon, Madelyn and Meghan; parents William and Joyce Long; brothers Bill (Annette) Long and Richard (Marianne) Long; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. directly at the Holy Shepherd Lutheran Church 9770 Keilman St., St. John. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Fagen-Miller Funeral Home 8580 Wicker Ave., St. John.
Andrew graduated from Illinois State University and received his Juris Doctorate from Valparaiso University. He started working as a law clerk at Applied Systems in 1995 and worked his way to being General Counsel. He enjoyed fishing, Steelers football but his true love was his wife and his children, never missing any of their events. In lieu of flowers, donations to his children’s education fund through 5/3 Bank St John would be appreciated.
