Obituary for William "Bill" G Gard

William "Bill" G Gard, age 89, of Highland, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017. He is survived by his wife Mary Ann Gard; son Glen (Sarah) Gard; daughters Laura (Fred) Wanicki and Lois Gard-Kish (Julius); grandchildren: Stephanie (Ryan) Spencer and Mallory Wanicki; step grandchildren: Emily, Alison, and Andrew Doran; great grandchildren: Grayson, Kinsey, and Mera Spencer; sisters Kathleen (Clarence) Hein and Roberta (Gerald) Bechtold and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers Raymond Gard and Frank (Helen) Gard.
Funeral services will begin with prayers at the Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 2828 Highway Ave in Highland on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 9:30 am followed by a mass at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Grace Church. Cremation to follow. Friends may meet with the family on Thursday at the funeral home from 3:00 - 8:00 pm.
Bill was a Veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War. He retired from Christenson Chevrolet after 60 years of service. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated.
