Anthony James Paglis

Anthony James Paglis, age 43, of Highland, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 26, 2025.

Anthony was a kind and thoughtful soul with a deep passion for World War II history. He could often be found researching or sharing stories about the people and events that shaped that time in history. His quiet curiosity and gentle sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Anthony is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frank and Inga Ryerse, and his paternal grandparents, Rose and Jim Paglis.

He is survived by his loving family: his mother, Kathy; father, Jim; stepfather, Rene; stepmother, Greta; and his sisters, Gina, Taryn, and Autumn. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Christopher, Donovan, Matthew, and Winter, who brought him great joy.

A visitation and service will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 2828 Highway Ave in Highland, Indiana. Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery in Crown Point, Indiana.

Anthony will be remembered for his kind heart, his love of history, and the quiet warmth he brought to those around him. Though he left this world far too soon, his memory will remain forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
