Barbara A. (Novak) Stricklin

Barbara Ann Stricklin (Novak), 71 of Cedar Lake, IN, passed away May 19th with her family by her side.  Preceded in death by her son Roger, grandson Leo, & Sister Nancy. Barb is survived by her devout husband Rodger, her loving children Kimberly (Tony), Scott (Janet), & Joseph (Alissa). Grandmother to Beau, Brennen, Kaitlyn, Abigail, Nina, Max, June, Chloe, Eve, Ruby & Olivia. Sister to Richard & Joseph.

Barb worked in the automotive auction industry for over 15 years retiring in 2011.  She loved traveling; some of her favorite places to visit were Las Vegas and Cancun, she loved the ocean.  Gardening was one of her loves, she would often tend to the care of her flower garden and plants.  She listened to music, was an avid fan of watching movies.  She really enjoyed shopping and was very proud of her figurines and collectables.  Barbara adored her family, and nothing compared to her love of her children and grandchildren. She lived for gatherings at her home and celebrating the holidays.  We love her and the void that has been created with her loss will be felt forever.  We Miss you!

Services will be held at Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 8580 Wicker Avenue in St. John on Sunday, May 23rd with visitations from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m.
