Bernice I. Harrison

Bernice I. Harrison, age 94, of Schererville, IN, passed away on October 1, 2024.  She is survived by her daughters Susan (Bill) Degnan, Janet (Chris) Hilbrich, Barb (John) Pavlik, Judy (Rob) Curtis, and Carol (John) Doctor; grandchildren Valerie (Josh), Joe (Audrey), Megan, Nicole (Chris), Dan, Monica (Brad), Sarah (Chris), Stephen (Erinn), Nick, and Natalie; and seventeen great grandchildren.  Bernice was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Russell.  

Services for Bernice will be held on October 18, 2024, at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, with visitation from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at 11:00 A.M.

Bernice was a kindergarten teacher for over 25 years.  She donated her time volunteering at St. Margaret's Hospital in Dyer for many years, and also volunteered for the Chorus of the Dunes.  Bernice was a founding member of the Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Schererville.  Bernice loved traveling with her husband and their friends, playing bridge, golfing, and dancing, and she loved her family dearly.  

The family would like to extend their utmost appreciation to the staff at Residences at Deer Creek and Dunes Hospice for their care and assistance.
