Betty Keenan Obituary
Betty L Keenan, age 96, of Dyer, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022. She is survived by her sons Lawrence and Tom Keenan; daughters Mary Kay (John) Holliday and Julie A. (Ethan) Cosgriff; grandchildren Brian (Kathleen), John, Keely, Michael, and Anthony; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years George who passed in 1980.
Visitation will be held on Sunday at Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 8580 Wicker Ave in St. John from 2 – 5 pm. Funeral services will be held directly at St. Maria Goretti Church, 500 Northgate Dr. in Dyer on Monday, January 24, 2022 starting at 9 am with a mass time of 10 am. Burial Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Betty was part of the church choir at St. Gerard Majella in Markham, IL and Holy Ghost in South Holland, IL. She enjoyed bowling until she was 94. As a child of the Great Depression she never forgot the importance of hard work. She had love that never stopped until her heart gave out.
