Cathy Makara-Vukin Obituary
Cathy A Makara-Vukin, age 62, of Highland, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2021. She is survived by her daughters Nicole and Lauren Vukin; grandchildren Jordan Toth and Jasmine Vukin; sister Susan (Michael) Dwyer; brothers Dan (Carol) Szymanski and Joseph (Lora) Szymanski; nieces and nephews: Nicholas, Kylie, Max, Olivia, Matthew, Luke, and Christopher; and loving companion Jim. She was preceded in death by her son Alexander Makara.
Funeral services will be held at Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 2828 Highway Avenue in Highland on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 with visiting from 2:00 pm until the time of the Nurse's Honor Guard at 5:45 pm with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 pm.
Cathy was a registered nurse with the Methodist Hospitals. In lieu of flowers donations to the family for Cathy’s daughter, Lauren’s care would be appreciated.
