Dorothy E. Akers

Dorothy E. Akers, age 98, of Highland, IN, passed away on March 9, 2025.  She is survived by her daughter Judy Akers, son Randy (Patsy) Akers, and nephew David (Barb) Anderson and their daughter Jennifer (Alex) Santamaria.  Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Millard, and brother Robert Anderson.

Visitation for Dorothy will be held on Thursday, March 14, at Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 2828 Highway Ave. in Highland, IN from 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.  Burial will follow the next day, Friday, March 15, starting at the funeral home at 12:15 P.M. and processing to Chapel Lawn Cemetery in Crown Point, IN.

Dorothy always had a great sense of humor.  She enjoyed spending time crocheting, and in her earlier years, bowling at Ken Ridge Lanes in Highland.  Dorothy and her daughter Judy were the best of friends, caring for one another and making memories together for many decades.
