Durk A. Lesczynski

Durk A. Lesczynski, age 75, of Crown Point (formerly of Hammond and then Highland), passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Midge; children Debbie (Otto) Wenzel, Jon (Marci) Lesczynski, and Kristie (Mark) Reder; grandchildren Ashley, Lauren, Sara, Scott, Kira, Jarek, and Heston; brother David Lesczynski; sister Paule McKinney; sister-in-law Margie Stotts; brother-in-law Von Settle; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents William and Helen Lesczynski; sister Laura Novak; sisters-in-law Betty Settle and Irene Horvath; and cousin Mike Irk.
As per his wishes, Durk will be cremated.
Durk was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.  He loved his Jeep, motorcycles, and anything that had an engine.  Durk was an amazing mechanic, with an amazing sense of humor, and he was always willing to lend a hand or mechanical advice to anyone in need.  Due to his kind-hearted nature, Durk never met a stranger.  He will be greatly missed.
