Edward Nicholas Sampias

Edward N. Sampias, age 76, of Highland, passed away, Thursday, November 23, 2023. He is survived by his daughter Cynthia Sampias, sister Eileen (Alex) Pera, brother David (Paulette) Sampias, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter Mary Kay Sampias and parents Nick and Peggy Sampias.

A memorial mass will be held directly at St. James Parish, 9640 Kennedy Ave in Highland, on Friday, December 1, 2023 with visiting from 10 am until the time of mass at 10:30 am. Burial to follow at St. John/St. Joseph Cemetery in Hammond.

Mr. Sampias was a Veteran of the US Air Force. He worked at Bethlehem Steel for over 37 years. After retiring Ed became a courier for Alverno Labs and Medspeed. He was a fun loving father and uncle. He enjoyed Christmas time-playing Santa Claus to private parties, homes, and especially at the hospitals. Always the happy guy Ed loved life and the casinos.
