Gerald M. Allen

Gerald "Jerry" M. Allen, age 84, of Dyer, IN, passed away on February 1, 2025.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Evelyn "Ronnie" Allen.  Jerry is survived by his daughters Jean (Bruce) Kuhn, Cathy Allen, Ronda (John) Bradley, and Tracy Allen; grandchildren Dennis Kuhn, Kyle (Lacey Carlson) Ludovice, Jaclyn (Dan) Huska, Ashleigh Bannow, Matthew Kuhn, Paige Allen, Dylan Bannow, and Brittany Allen; great grandchildren Jaylen Weaver, Jaxtyn Kinney, Kash Haines, Eliza Ludovice, Nathan Huska, Addison Haines, and Clara Huska.

Services will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 1920 Hart St. in Dyer, with visitation from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at 1:00 P.M.  Burial to follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery in Crown Point.

Jerry retired from Pipefitters Local 597.  He was a published author of five spiritual poetry books.  Jerry was an avid and artistic craftsman who loved using his talents to help others.  He was a longtime parishioner of Faith Church in Dyer, and Jerry volunteered regularly to help with their food pantry.  Jerry was a generous and giving man.  He dedicated his time, money, and love to his family and those in need.  Jerry will be greatly missed.
