Helen Mary (Opolski) Papendick

Helen M. Papendick, age 99, of Highland, IN, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024. She is survived by her son Chuck (Cathey) Papendick; daughter Pat Kaleta; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister Jennie Kesilis; brothers-in-law Robert (Ruby), Norman, and Arnold (Linda) Papendick; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Mike Papendick, 5 brothers and 1 sister.

Funeral services will be held at the Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 2828 Highway Ave in Highland, IN on Monday, February 26, 2024 with visiting from 10 am until the time of service at 11:30 am. Burial Calumet Park Cemetery.

Helen was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, quilting, knitting, playing cards, crossword puzzles, and general tom-foolery. However, her true love was her Chicago Cubs.
