Irene Narcisi Obituary

Irene J. Narcisi, age 80, passed away peacefully at her home while on hospice, on Sunday November 22, 2020. Irene was born December 17, 1939 in Chicago to Joseph and Jane Cerullo. She grew up with her two siblings on the east side of Blue Island. She married her husband, Richard Narcisi, on May 23, 1959 and had three children. In 1975, they built a home in Northwest Indiana to raise their family. For over 30 years, she worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Kenneth Freedman and retired in her early sixties where her and Richard spent their winters in Florida. She was an avid golfer and tennis player over the years and played in many leagues. She sang in the choir at St. Joseph’s Parish and was involved with the Food Pantry.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Joe Jr. and sister-in-law, Janet Cerullo. She is survived by her husband, Richard Narcisi of 62 years of marriage and her sister Rosemarie (Chuck) Ulrich of Blue Island; three children Rick (Jean) Narcisi, Cindy (Mike) Parker, and Karyn (Jayme) Narcisi; four grandchildren Nick and Mia Narcisi, Delaney and Abby Parker.

The services will be held at Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 8580 Wicker Avenue, St. John, IN on Friday, November 27, 2020, from 2-7 pm. The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 10am directly at St. Joseph Church, 440 Joliet Street in Dyer. Private Burial to follow.
