Janet Elise Prieto

Janet E. Prieto, age 74, of Hammond, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021.  She is survived by her sons: Christopher (Bailey) Michalec and David (Raquel) Michalec; grandchildren: David and Adan; siblings: Deloros Kramer, Rosie Smerdel, George (Bobbie) Prieto and Katherine (Jake) Mendez; sister-in-law, Cathy Prieto; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents George and Socorro Prieto; siblings: Anthony Prieto, Ruth Aleman, Michael Prieto and William Prieto.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Fagen-Miller Funeral Home 2828 Highway Ave., Highland, IN.  Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Janet had several interests such as gardening, scrapbooking, cooking and crafting such as making jewelry and sewing.  She enjoyed playing cards and board games, excelling in backgammon.
