Joan above all was always there for her children, as well as her children’s friends. Sometimes the friends showed up just to sit and talk to her. When she had grandchildren she did the same. She took every opportunity to be at every competition, meet, game, scouting event and performance they had. She especially loved Grandparents Day at school, where she would ask any child without a grandparent to sit with her and her grandchild. She also talked to everyone and had a new friend or two (or more), everywhere she went. She enjoyed every second she had when her grandchildren came over. They would do everything from hunting around the house for gold to sell (only to find out it wasn't real), to playing cards and doing puzzles. The holidays were everyone's favorites, where she would always do way too much in every way!
When she wasn’t spending time with her children and grandchildren she enjoyed playing bunko and going to the casino. She also loved winter time vacations in Florida with Leonard. She found it peaceful being on the beach, and especially enjoyed walking it and watching the sunset every night.
The family respectfully requests no gifts.
