John Martin Perez

John M. Perez “Pops”, beloved husband, father, son, uncle, brother, friend, and mentor, sadly passed away on October 30th of 2023. Full of love, kindness, humor, warmth, and familial devotion, he had the ability to make friends through genuine conversations and brought out smiles with ease from all those he encountered.

There are no words to describe how enormous his heart was and how much he will be missed.  Memories of him will last a lifetime. His hobbies included gardening, camping, and fishing, but favorite was his time invested as an active Scout Leader for Scouts BSA Troop 532 shaping the future through young hearts and minds, demonstrating that being yourself is more than enough.

He is survived by his wife Judith, his sons Christian and John S., parents Bonifacio J. and Frances, brother Joseph, nephew Xander, and loving relatives too many to list.

Visitation: Sunday, November 05, 2023, hours 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Fagen Miller Funeral Home 8580 Wicker Ave. ST. JOHN, IN 46373.

Burial:  Monday, November 06, 2023, 11:00 am from Fagen Miller Funeral Home directly to St. John/St. Joseph Cemetery 1547 – 167th Street HAMMOND, IN 46320.
