Julie grew up in Calumet City. She graduated from college and worked her entire career at Community Hospital as a lab technician.
She was funny and sometimes inappropriate, but that is one of the reasons we all loved her. So many memories were created at her home. Making pierogi (aka making a big mess!), decorating cookies, playing poker, decorating Easter eggs, putting together puzzles, or simply having everyone over for dinner and game night. She may not have had children of her own, but she treated all of us like we were. She was always there for us and we will miss her terribly. Lovingly known as "Chachi" to her great nieces and nephews, she continued all of these traditions with them as well.
She loved her dogs, loved to travel, and probably most of all loved playing the slot machines at "the boat". We all became accustomed to steak dinners and the late night drop off of giant chocolate cake slices from her casino "comps". Julie was such a caring person. This was especially evidenced by the way she cared for her mom when she became ill.
We take comfort knowing that she is no longer suffering and is reunited with her family.
