Kathleen Powers

Kathleen "Kathy" Powers, age 84, of Dyer, IN, passed away on April 6, 2025.  She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Chuck; sons John (Karen) Powers and Patrick Powers; grandchildren Sam (Leah) Powers and Grace Powers; and various other family members.  Kathleen was preceded in death by her brother John Kutkoski.

Visitation for Kathy will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 8580 Wicker Ave. in St. John, IN from 2:00 - 8:00 P.M.  The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, April 15, at the funeral home, at 11:00 A.M.  Burial to follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery in Crown Point.

Before retirement, Kathy led a successful career as a teacher. She loved her job, and worked for many years at Lincoln Elementary in Hammond.  She was big into the Dyer Historical Society, and had an affinity for crossword puzzles.  Kathy was a great mom, wife, and grandmother.
