Marcella Marie Mooney

Marcella M. Mooney, age 98, of Highland, passed away at Norridge Gardens Nursing Home, Thursday, August 28, 2025. She is survived by her sister beloved Eileen (late Joseph) Lopiccolo, extended family, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Clara Mooney.

A funeral Mass will be held directly at St. James Church, 9640 Kennedy Ave in Highland, on Tuesday. September 2, 2025, with visiting from 10 am until the time of mass at 10:30 am. Interment at St John/St Jospeh Cemetery in Hammond.

Marcella was a life-long resident of the area. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Hammond, and St. James the Less Church in Highland. She was a 1945 graduate of Bishop Noll High School (Catholic Central).  A retiree of Amoco Oil, she was an active member in the Annuitant’s Club.
