Maureen (Sullivan) Koselke

Maureen Sullivan Koselke passed away on May 1, 2024 in Highland, IN. She was born on April 11, 1933 in Chicago, IL.  She graduated from St. Catherine of Genoa grade school and Loretto Academy IBUM (Woodlawn) Chicago, IL.  She was preceded in death by her husband Joe on June 26, 2016.  She is also predeceased by her parents Harold and Viola Sullivan; brothers James, Dennis, Robert, and Harold; and sister Sheila. 

She is survived by her most loving daughter Colette Marie; brother Mike (Jill) Sullivan; sisters Cecile Jagodzinski and Patricia (Len) Stocker; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; special adopted daughter May (Wanshing) Wong and their son Maurice; lots of friends, and a few special of 65(!) years or more. On May 14, 1955, She married Joseph Koselke of Hobart, IN.  They were married 61 years at the time of his death.  Maureen was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church, volunteering for many projects during the 57 years there as a member.

She retired from H + R Block in 2009, and also spent time working for Gary Nation Bank, and Highland Pharmacy.  Maureen was proud of her large Irish Catholic family and enjoyed their time together.

She will be remembered by lots of friends from OLG, Highland, and Hobart.  She enjoyed the golfing outing from friends at OLG and her husband.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 2828 Highway Ave. in Highland, IN from 3:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.  Services will be on Wednesday, May 8, directly at Our Lady of Grace Church, 3025 Highway Ave. in Highland, IN, with visitation from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the mass at 10:30 A.M. Burial at Chapel Lawn Cemetery to follow.
