Michael Stanley Kowal

Michael "Mike" Kowal, age 50, of Hobart, formerly of Valparaiso and Whiting, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2020. He is survived by his son Zachary Kowal, daughter Chloe Kowal, parents Norbert and Linda Kowal, brother Mark (Cara) Kowal, sister Elizabeth (Tony) Kwintera, 6 devoted nieces and nephews, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held at the Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 8580 Wicker Ave in St. John, IN on Thursday, July 9, 2020 from 2-8 pm with cremation to follow.

Mike was born in East Chicago on May 23, 1970, he was a graduate of Bishop Noll Institute class of 1988. Mike became a paramedic and was a flight medic for 30 years. Changing careers he become a photographer and was currently working as a videographer for television news channels in Chicago.
