Nannette T. "Nancy" (Leahy) Kelly

Nannette T. (Nancy) Kelly nee Leahy, age 97, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2026. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husbands Martin N. Henderson and Eugene J. Kelly; mother Bernice and father Daniel T. Leahy; sister Bernice; brothers Robert (Shirley) and Daniel E. (Jeanne) Leahy; nephew Larry Leahy; niece Colleen Jorsch; great nephew Joel Jorsch; and great niece Nannette Mayberry.

A memorial mass will be held directly at St. James the Less Catholic Church, 9640 Kennedy Ave. in Highland, IN on Friday, May 8, 2026, with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of mass at 10:30 am. A private interment will be handled by Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, Highland.

Mrs. Kelly was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago and lived for many years in Joliet and Lansing, IL. She lived in Highland at the time of her death. Nancy worked for the Illinois Bell Telephone Company for 37 years and retired at the age of 53, in 1993. She and her second husband (Eugene) enjoyed many years of travel until his death in 2008. Nancy was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and St. James the Less Catholic Church.
