Olen began his career in the locomotive industry working at Vance Corporation in 1967. From there, he went on to become the superintendent at Hulcher Services in Hammond, before finally retiring in December of 2005. OIen was an extremely hard worker, always going above and beyond to get the job done. He greatly enjoyed fishing, especially at Big Jesse Lake in Minnesota. His other interests included cheering on his favorite team, the Chicago Cubs; camping; and avoiding the cold Indiana winters by heading down to Florida. Above all else, Olen was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who will be greatly missed.
