Patricia Ann Mikuta

Patricia Ann Mikuta, of Schererville formerly of Griffith, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Franciscan Health in Dyer. She is survived by her sisters Linda Goodwin and Barbara Mikuta, niece Jessica Chambers; and her cousins. She was preceded in death by her son Joseph Mikuta and her parents Albert and Bertha Mikuta, after which she moved in with her sister Barbara.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026, at the Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 2828 Highway Ave in Highland from 3-7 pm. Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 12:00 PM (Noon). Burial to follow at Ross Cemetery in Calumet Township.

Patricia graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a MBA from the Kelly School of Business, where she worked at the IU Auditorium as a ticket taker and an usher. She was an avid bridge player as was a member of the American Contract Bridge League.  She was also a member and piano player for First Christian Church Griffith. Patricia retired from teaching at Hammond Morton High School after teaching in Michigan and West Virginia. After retirement Patricia enjoyed visiting the casinos with Barbara.
