Patricia Ruth (Doolin) MacDonald

Patricia Ruth (Doolin) MacDonald, age 78, of Highland, IN passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023, peacefully with loving family by her side.  Patricia is survived by daughters Lisa MacDonald, Julie (Troy) Tomasko, adoring grandson Sidney Glen Tomasko, & cousin Michele Bonneau. Patricia was preceded in death by her loving husband Glen MacDonald.

Pat or Patty as family knew her by, grew up in Hessville, attended OLPH & graduated from Morton.  Pat started her career as a Secretary in Chicago but took the more important job of becoming the CEO of the MacDonald household, which she was very successful at.  She later worked several years part time, never to waiver as the CEO. 

Pat was a longtime member of Our Lady of Grace Church.  She was a member of the longest standing Bunco club of 60 years with her lifelong grade school girlfriends.  She loved to attend to the yard & her flowers, a passion she inherited from her own mother.  Pat was never one to sit with her eyes closed, she was a passionate reader of hardcover books and rarely missed an episode of All My Children through the years.   You could always count on a Hallmark card for special occasions and holidays from her.   Pat never left the house without hair & makeup done up, she took pride in herself, home, and most of all her family.  Her only grandchild Sidney was her absolute pride and joy.   

Funeral services will take place at the Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 8580 Wicker Ave in St. John, on Thursday, May 18, 2023 with visiting from 2:30 pm until the time of service at 6:30 pm. In lieu of flowers donations to NWI Parkinsons, Inc. in Highland or Humane Society of Hobart would be appreciated.
