Paul Strug

Paul R. Strug, age 71, of Dyer, IN, passed away on December 30, 2023.  He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Susan; children Regina (Ken) Cosby, Elizabeth Slachta, and Paul Joseph (Lisa) Strug; grandchildren Kayla, Vincent, Dylan, Jacob, Abbey, Frankie, and Braydon; brothers Frank (Diane) Strug and Michael (Cheryl) Strug; mother-in-law Ruth Reusnow; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members.  Paul was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Virginia Strug.  
Services will take place on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 1920 Hart St. in Dyer, with visitation from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 P.M. Cremation to follow.
Paul retired from Gonnella Baking Company in Chicago, IL.  He greatly enjoyed watching sports, and was a die-hard fan of both the White Sox and the Bears.  No matter what time of the year, Paul loved to be outdoors grilling.  Paul was lovingly referred to as "Dad" by not only his children, but their friends, and many others.  He was a kind and amazing husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed.
