Rene A. Van Dongen, age 68, of Dyer, IN, passed away on July 26, 2024. He is survived by his siblings Andre (Rebecca) Van Dongen, Hans Van Dongen, and Diana Van Dongen. Rene was preceded in death by his parents Ilse "Louise" and Andrew Van Dongen; and brothers Freddy Andrew and Fred Van Dongen.
As per his wishes, Rene will be cremated and all services are private.
Rene retired from Trout Glass, where he spent many years working as a glazier. He could often be found working in his yard, tinkering around with his cars in the garage, or chatting with friends. Rene enjoyed the outdoors and being in nature. He will be greatly missed.
