Richard Narcisi, age 87, of Dyer, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2025. He is survived by his daughters Cindy (Mike) Parker and Karyn Narcisi; daughter in law Jean Narcisi; and grandchildren Nick (Laure) Narcisi, Mia Narcisi, Delaney Parker, and Abigale Parker. He was preceded in death by his wife Irene and son Rick.
Richard was a man of faith and lived life with curiosity, generosity, and joy. He had a deep love for golf, where he found both challenge and camaraderie, and he was especially proud of the beautiful bird and butterfly houses he handcrafted. Giving these creations to friends and family brought him great happiness and was one of the many ways he showed his love.
A true traveler at heart, Richard enjoyed exploring new places and especially loved traveling and cruising, always eager for the next adventure. After retiring at the age of 55 from ComEd, where he spent his career, Richard embraced life to the fullest. He became an avid snowbird, spending cherished winters in Cocoa Beach, Florida, and later Fort Myers, Florida, soaking up the sunshine and community.
Richard was a proud member of the Marchegiana Society of Chicago Heights, where he valued heritage, friendship, and tradition.
Above all, Richard treasured his family, especially his grandchildren and all the relationships he built throughout his life. His kindness, craftsmanship, and love of life will be remembered by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at the Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 8580 Wicker Ave in St. John, on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 3-8 pm, with a prayer service at 6:30 pm. A funeral mass will take place directly at St. Joseph Church, 440 Joliet St in Dyer, on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 10:30 am. Entombment to follow at Assumption Cemetery in Glenwood, IL.
