Ruth A. Silva

Ruth A. Silva, age 81, formerly of South Holland, IL, passed away on January 4, 2024.  She resided with her son in St. John, IN.  Ruth is survived by her children Tony, Kenny, and Renee Silva; six grandchildren Michael, Krystal (Jose), Nicholas, Antonio, Tia, and Kyle; and two great grandchildren Xander and Cameron.  

Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband Tom, and her brothers Eric and Charlie.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025 from 2:00-8:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m., at the Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 8580 Wicker Ave. in St. John. 

Ruth was born and raised in Roseland, IL.  She worked as a beautician for years, worked at Walt's grocery in South Holland, and worked at Landauer as well.  Ruth married the love of her life, Tom, and they were happily married for over fifty years.  Ruth loved to go out to eat with her husband Tom, and she also liked to spend time in Vegas.
