Sharon Crnkovich Obituary

Sharon Crnkovich (nee Lewis), age 83, of Lowell, IN passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025 surrounded by family and her best friend of 75 years, Jackie Seibert. Born in Chicago, IL and longtime former resident of Dolton, IL having moved there as a child. Sharon was a graduate of Thornton High School, class of 1960.

Beloved wife of the late Anthony T. Crnkovich. Dear sister of James (April) Lewis. Loving mother of Cindy Jobbe, Terry (Vicki) Crnkovich, Madeline (Steve) Harris, and Candy (Mark) Lieber. Cherished grandmother “Nonnie” of Toni (Ryan Janovitz) Clapp, Joey (Alisha) Jobbe, Francesca (Anthony) Boren, Max Crnkovich, Trevor Crnkovich, James Clapp, Sgt. Daniel Clapp, Cassidy (Tyler Cher) Lieber, Jon Lieber, Megan O’Sullivan, and Jake O’Sullivan. Great-grandmother to Alex Posada, Anthony, Juliette & Jalyssa Jobbe, Noah & Matteo Boren, and Nolan, Benny & Bradley Crnkovich. Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Bernadine Lewis (nee McNeil). Sharon was a cherished aunt and cousin to many.

Visitation will be held at the Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 8580 Wicker Ave in St. John, on Thursday, July 10, 2025 from 3-8 pm. Funeral services will be on Friday at the funeral home at 10:30 am, with burial to follow at Holy Name Church Cemetery in Cedar Lake.

Sharon loved to have her family over for dinners and holidays, the more the merrier was her motto. She loved playing Bunco with her girlfriends, their Bunco club was together for nearly 50 years. She will be deeply missed, always remembered, and forever loved.
