Sharon Louisa Tully Pacific entered into Paradise and joined her wonderful son Nick Pacific there on March 6, 2021. Sharon graduated from Woodrow Wilson Grade School and Junior High School in 1956. While at Wilson, Sharon was a cheerleader, had the lead part in the school play, was chosen queen of the school, was captain of the Kick Ball Team who won a championship, played flute in the school band, and was head of the school hallway monitors. She was also a Brownie and a Girl Scout.
She graduated from Hammond High School in 1960. She was in the Latin Club and the Drama Club. She loved to go to school sock hops at the Civic Center and eat at Maid Rites Restaurant every day for lunch or Luigi’s Pizza.
Sharon graduated from Moser Secretarial School in Chicago, Illinois, in 1961, after which she worked at BP in Whiting, Indiana, as a Confidential Secretary and retired from there after 15 years.
Sharon had two sons Keith and Nick who attended St. John Evangelist School. Sharon ran Field Day there for two years, worked as a Recess Supervisor, and wrote and was Editor of the school newsletter for a few years. She loved every minute of it because of the wonderful children who attended the school.
Sharon was also an avid Pinochle player and loved the college basketball finals, which she and her son Nick debated every year, and he always won except for once when she won. Sharon especially loved to laugh and have fun. She and Nick were best of friends and joked all the time. No one was better than him, as a son and as a person.
Sharon is preceded in death by her truly fantastic and best son in the whole world Nick who passed in January of 2019, her wonderful boyfriend Larry Wallace, and her truly great Dad Robert G. Tully and her Mom Avis Tully, two sisters Shirley Nowacki and Marilyn Skievaski, and her husband Jerry Pacific. She is survived by her son Keith and her fantastic grandsons Kiernan Pacific and Levi Pacific and her brother Robert (Judy) Tully and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass will take place on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 10 am at St. Maria Goretti Church, 500 Northgate Drive, Dyer, IN 46311.
