Shirley M. Murphy

Shirley M. Murphy, age 97, of Highland, IN, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024.  She is survived by her children Cheri (late Mike) Mestrovich, Jackie (late Mark) Sleeman, and Tim (Ginger) Murphy; grandchildren Tom, Michelle, Sam, Carrie, Charlie, Molly, Jake, Rachel, and Grace; eighteen great grandchildren; fifteen great great grandchildren; one great great great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Shirley was predeceased by her husband Bill, and five siblings.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 4, 2024 from 3-7 pm with a prayer service at 6:30 pm, at the Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 2828 Highway Ave in Highland. Funeral services will be held directly at Our Lady of Grace Church, 3025 Highway Ave in Highland, on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 10:30 am. Burial services will be private.

Shirley was a lifelong resident of Highland, Indiana, and devoted member of Our Lady of Grace Church.  She loved knitting, crocheting, and traveling across the U.S. visiting all fifty states.  Shirley was an avid birdwatcher and gardener as well.  She was an amazing mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.
