Obituary
Shirley M. Vido, age 92, of Dyer, IN, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. She is survived by her daughter, Tracey (Larry) Hardy, and sisters Wanda (Charlie) Vido and Lillian (late Nelson) Burrus. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Steve Vido, and her son, Jeff Vido.
Visitation will be held at Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 1920 Hart Street in Dyer, on Saturday, May 6, from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., and the funeral service will follow at 3:15 p.m. Burial will be private.
Shirley spent her early years living in Herrick, IL, before moving to Hammond, and then eventually settling in Dyer in 1958. She was an avid gardener and bird watcher, who loved nature walks and the outdoors. She greatly enjoyed going on day trips with her husband Steve before his passing.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Calumet Area.
