Stanley "Ronnie" Richardson

Stanley "Ronnie" Richardson, age 91, of Munster, IN, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on May 13, 2024.  He is survived by his children Ron (Norma) Richardson, Mark (Cindy) Richardson, Dawn (Thomas) Smith, and Dana (Jim) Torreano; sister Juanita Oakley; grandchildren David Richardson, Susan (Jason) Griffin, Julie (Dave) Richardson, Kevin (Evelyn) Richardson, Douglas (Michele) Smith, Cassie Smith, James (Faith) Torreano, and Jason Torreano; great grandchildren Colin and Claire Griffin, and Caydon Smith; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Stanley was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Virginia (nee Carlson), and brother Edward Richardson.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Fagen-Miller Funeral Home 2828 Highway Ave. in Highland, with visitation from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the funeral service at 6:00 P.M.  Cremation to follow.

Stanley served as a medic in the front lines of the Korean War.  On September 10, 1955 Stanley married his beautiful wife Virginia, and the two went on to enjoy sixty years together.  After serving in the war, Stanley pursued a teaching degree, ultimately earning his master's degree in the field.  He worked for Mildred Merkley Elementary in Highland for some time.  In fact, he admirably held up to three jobs at once in order to support his family.  Stanley exemplified a strong, honest work ethic.  In his free time and later years, Stanley enjoyed spending time camping, traveling, and visiting with his family.  He will be greatly missed.
