Thomas G. Bice

Thomas "Tom" Bice of Crown Point was called home Sunday, August 13, 2023 at the age of 80.  Born March 4, 1943 in Decatur, AL and raised in Griffith, IN. Tom dedicated his life to his family. There wasn't a man more proud of his daughters and grandchildren. 

He was a wonderful dad to Robin & Kristy and the best grandpa to Robert, Alexa, & Nicholas.  He & Robert shared his love of muscle cars, racing, and history and would often get in deep discussions about those things; he enjoyed spending time at the softball fields watching Alexa play and there was no doubt that he was her #1 fan; he passed his love of music to Nicholas and enjoyed attending all of his music recitals and listening to him play the electric guitar, banjo, and harmonica. He often kept his family entertained with his great sense of humor.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Robin (Robert) Briggs of Steger, IL; Kristy (Charles) Bertolo of Crown Point; grandchildren Robert, Alexa, and Nicholas; sister Peggy Lawrence(late Richard), and brothers David Bice and Bob Bice.  Preceded in death by is his loving wife of 37 years, Toni; Parents James & Marguerite Bice; and brother James Bice Jr. 

Tom was a proud U.S. Navy veteran.  He was retired from Commonwealth Edison.

Services will be held at Fagen-Miller Funeral Home in St. John, IN on Monday, August 21st, with viewing from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the service at 7:00 P.M.
