William Charles Klemp

William Charles Klemp, age 89, of St. John, Indiana, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026, at 5:49 PM. Born in Chicago, Illinois, William was a cherished husband, loving father, and devoted grandfather.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Barbara Klemp; son, Marc Klemp, and his spouse, Josette Klemp; grandson, Jacob Klemp and his spouse, Hédia Klemp; and granddaughter, Malissa Klemp.

William is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Lydia Klemp; sisters Dolores Torrenga and Ginna Polo; brothers Mike Klemp and Richard Klemp; and half-brothers Robert Gutrich and Raymond Gutrich.

A proud graduate of Emerson High School in Gary, Indiana, William dedicated 38 years of his career to LTV Steel as an Electronic and Instrument Repair Technician, where he was known for his expertise and commitment to excellence.

An avid golfer and softball player, William loved spending time with his family and was committed to helping others. His deep faith in Jesus Christ was an integral part of his life and was something he cherished dearly.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, located at 8580 Wicker Avenue, St. John, IN. The viewing will begin at 11 AM, followed by a service at 1 PM, and a graveside service at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, 8178 Cline Ave, Crown Point, IN.

William’s spirit will live on in the hearts of those he loved deeply.
