Zlatko was a retired tow driver from Ford Motor Company for over 46 years. Not only was he dedicated to his employer he was dedicated to his family as well. Zlatko and his beloved wife, Marija, just celebrated their 47th Wedding Anniversary. He was a parishioner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Chicago, IL. Some of Zlatko’s proudest moments were when he became a father and grandfather (aka Dida in Croatian). He raised his family in Chicago Heights, IL and then moved to St. John, Indiana.
He was a family man that provided and protected and had a heart of gold. He lived simply, happily, and was always there for his family. He especially enjoyed spending time with his two granddaughters. He was a big sports fan and enjoyed watching his favorite teams such as Dinamo Zagreb (soccer) and the Croatian National Soccer team along with Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bears. In his spare time, he enjoyed barbecuing, family game nights, playing cards and bocce ball. He will always be remembered with his enormous smile and generous heart. His kindness and heart of gold will never be forgotten, and his memory will live on forever.
